I was stupid enough to buy a small one without weighing and measuring my two yellow-bellied sliders, I'm not sure how old they are because we keep them at petco bought and she gave no information. I guess they are 3-4 years old. Weak Magnets: // Even from small ones, I can say with certainty that these magnets are WEAK. The stone itself is realistic, but having magnets that weak to hold a literal animal is unrealistic enough. You literally can't fix it without something like gorilla glue or money to buy stronger magnets. hopefully the extra weight of the medium makes it more solid :[--please don't waste your money without reading other reviews and measuring and weighing your turtles. DO NOT LIFT THE ISLAND! it needs to sit in the water to some degree.
