Here are the pros and cons of this "HU" head unit Pros: Price It remembers the Bluetooth connection Sees an external micro USB for music and video files Cons: A) This HU connects with 5 latches on the clip on the dashboard are three at the top and two at the bottom. They are the same as the original Toyota radio guide pins but shorter so they don't fully fit the holes in the dash and no other screw holds the frame that keeps the HU from popping. out of place, to solve this problem I did the following: 1) Disconnect the HU from the frame, which is fixed with four screws at the back 2) Install the frame on the dashboard, for this you need to drill a hole in the HU- frame on the right side of the unit and secure the frame to the dash "right side only" with a long flat top screw. Place a hole in the middle of the frame that has a recess on the frame, and don't overtighten the screw, it will break or deform the frame. 3) No screw is required for the left side. The cluster's faceplate covers the left side of the HU frame and stays in place. 4) Assemble the entire backplate without the HU in place * outside the frame Connect all the stiffeners and then use two double sided tapes on the part of the frame that has a cut out to attach the HU to the frame. This way you don't have to take the whole dashboard apart again when you want to work with the HU. Just use the big suction cup to pull the HU out of the frame. B) Carplay in this device only works via USB cable. Invest another $120 for Mirabox to achieve wireless carplay (it takes about 180 seconds to load carplay). D) The steering control for the HU can be easily programmed to sound up/down , next and previous , but call answering, mode and voice cannot be programmed E) I have tried to connect HU to my iphone 12 pro via hotspot and tried to Using HU as a mirror for my phone with the Easy Connection app, it's unreliable and takes too long to connect. Q) The canbus module that comes with HU my Truck doesn't have HU connector, so I can't use it. The HU comes with two types of connectors, one of which has a canbus connector that doesn't fit my 2013 Tundra truck. So I can't use the function like "Show open door on HU screen" and "Engine diagnostic information on HU via Canbus". Q) The color of the screen is somehow blurry even after the adjustment. I made another YouTube video. for this product to compare the system boot time and carplay boot time between USB connection and wireless connection via Mirabox. In this video I also show a way to attach the HU to the dashboard. I contacted the seller through Amazon, they emailed regarding the steering control, they asked for some pictures of my original radio connections, but they couldn't fix the problem. I thought there was something wrong with the HU so I order a replacement and the second unit also has the same problem which means the HU is not defective, there is only one feature missing, I use the aux video input for the front camera
