Review on 16-Core, 32-Thread Unlocked Desktop Processor - AMD Ryzen 9 5950X by Wiktor Getka ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The quality is top notch, be sure to try it.

Even though users have just lately begun to report issues with memory that is faster than 3200, everything started without any problems when using the most recent version of the BIOS on the X570 Unify and RAM with a CL16 timing of 3600. It would appear that the issue has been fixed in the most recent version of the BIOS. In its stock configuration, when subjected to the maximum load across all cores, it reached 71 degrees Celsius under Dark Rock Pro 4 while the fans were set to 50% speed (in reality, there was utter silence). The time needed to compile the working draft was cut down to forty-five seconds, and the percentage of time spent by the CPU in use was much lower than 100%. When compared, the process took approximately 70 seconds on the 3500x, whereas it took 260 seconds or possibly more on the older i5 2500. It seems to me like a nice illustration of how contemporary software can still frequently hit the performance of one or more threads without making use of all of the resources that are available. In spite of this, it is the most powerful processor available right now.

Pros
  • -Highly efficient in terms of the dissipation of heat
Cons
  • Very few processes are able to make use of all of the threads that are accessible.
