I searched Google Chrome for the best staplers and read the tool reviews website. For some reason it advertised this as one and had great reviews. I agree, this is a very well made cable fastening gun. It uses clips with a plastic end that holds the wires but doesn't push the clip to the surface. - There is a gap for the wire so it doesn't stick as deep and hard as a stapler. I can pull them right out of the wood with my fingers. Now I have it and will keep it to add to my toolbox, but I've been wanting to get a stapler. I ended up buying an Arrow stapler which is also excellent. didn't understand the difference.***
