
This thing only works if you do the following before using it: 1) Purchase a replacement valve stem and test it in the tool. 2) Squeeze the test tool forks together so that the test tool can frictionally hold the valve stem. If you do not do this, the old valve stem will fall out of the tool when you remove it and you will not be able to close the tool valve. You will eventually lose all system performance. If you look at reviews of similar tools, you will find reports of them not working, or being too short to remove the shank, or the shank falling out of the tool. They all have the same cause - the tool needs to somehow hook onto the valve stem.
