It's a nice little router. Bought for the trip. It supports client repeater mode and allows Mac spoofing if needed. This allows me to bypass the hotel guest portal and connect multiple devices to the same network. This way, ROKU is easy to control. If the hotel's bandwidth is high enough, it can support multiple devices at the same time, just like home. It loads fast. (Note: I have no idea what the little slider on the side does.) The OpenVPN features work great. I installed the setup files from my VPN provider and they worked great. I even connected to my OpenVPN home server. There are some helpful tips on their forum. Update September 2017: It works great as a hotel travel router. I had to spoof the MAC address to bypass the hotel registration portal. To do this, I bought the cheapest USB wireless adapter I could find and linked the router to the cheap wireless adapter's Mac address. At the hotel, log into the internet using your laptop's WiFi adapter and make sure that Windows is using this WiFi connection and not the main connection. There is a drop-down list for this on the WLAN selection screen. After that, the MAC address of the WiFi adapter (also on the travel router) will be linked to the authorized portal. Remove the WiFi adapter from your laptop and keep it for your next hotel visit. The router should now connect. (A spare Wi-Fi adapter allows you to continue using your devices on the Internet at the hotel without confusing the Authorized Portal Router.)
