So I was a little nervous about doing it myself but I'll tell you it was incredibly easy, painless and took less than a minute to do each ear. Just for reference, you have some time to slowly press it before it snaps into place, so make sure you line it up correctly. I dabbed on each ear with a felt tip pen, took out the sanitizer, placed it behind the ear, squeezed lightly to make sure it was where I wanted it, then squeezed and done. No pain, no problems, perfect puncture. I didn't use ice, numbing cream or anything else. The last time I pierced my ears was 35 years ago in high school with a needle and ice cream. So, over time, since I started wearing heavy earrings, the holes in my earlobes got longer and I was afraid that one day my earring would fall out. I also have small stakes so was wondering if I could find a place to re-pierce so I used this set and was so glad I did. The earring is higher on my earlobe and slightly further back, just enough for me to be able to wear my chunky earrings again. I am delighted with this product. Definitely worth it. Came in sanitized packaging and with alcohol swabs.
