Review on Camco 40531 Heavy-Duty 20Lb Or 30Lb Dual Propane Tank Cover (Champagne) by Michael Tegan

This lid was very disappointing but after hours of shopping I can't find anything better on the market! Directions are terrible. I get the first part which says not to over tighten the screws as this is a brittle plastic after all. The next part of the guide tries to explain how to snap these two screws into the top cover and fails miserably. It takes a lot of pressure to be successful and to make sure it isn't done the other way around, otherwise there are big problems. After that I wonder why it was designed that way and I think the first few times I open that door I'm going to lose the nuts that attach to those bolts! There must be a million other ways to do it better. Finally, there is no real industry plan to keep this cap on propane tanks while on the road. The plastic tabs on the front and back of the lid have two tiny, thin holes, and the manufacturer suggests using small rubber cords with these holes to hold the lid in place. If this thing lasts a year I'll be very surprised. I hope someone will make a decent one in the future.
