Overpriced for what you get but still useable case.

Protects your propane tanks. For pennies more, Camco could have supplied shims to keep the hardware from tearing through the soft plastic around the hardware holes (use shims and don't over-tighten). There are other comments on the unsightly extra plastic tips left over from injection molding during the manufacturing process. I trimmed it with a razor as well as any sharp edges left over from production. A little more care in manufacturing can bring this plastic lid closer to a hefty price tag.

Good for the kitchen as advertised

Read the horror stories of people who got it with no lid and no hardware. Aside from getting ripped out, I'm not sure how to do it. The equipment was in a pocket that was fastened with clips and glued to the lid. The lid was in a plastic bag taped to the inside of one half of the case. I've had a heck of a lot of time to free them up to use them. How it can get away I'm not sure. Those who say that iron pulls through plastic I consider "operator error". The plastic case isn't that thick, but…

Pros
  • for cars
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Don't know where the heavy duty part is

This lid was very disappointing but after hours of shopping I can't find anything better on the market! Directions are terrible. I get the first part which says not to over tighten the screws as this is a brittle plastic after all. The next part of the guide tries to explain how to snap these two screws into the top cover and fails miserably. It takes a lot of pressure to be successful and to make sure it isn't done the other way around, otherwise there are big problems. After that I wonder why

Pros
  • Hob and cookers
Cons
  • Minor issues
