That thing rocks! - Single board computer

I like this "thing". I can't believe how easy it is to get them working. For the price I paid it's a no brainer. What is $11 or $12 versus $45? I'll buy a couple of these to have on hand in case I break 1 or 2. It fitted right away, worked great, just ran the examples, didn't check all the outputs, but everything I tested worked fine. I haven't figured out what I'm going to do with it yet, but with all the excitement that comes with these things, I figured I should have it. I had a completely incomprehensible idea how to do this and decided to write Elegoo. (where to start) A few hours later I got a reply from a nice lady with very accurate references. Minutes later I got all my "initial questions" answered and about 30 minutes later my account was set up with Arduino.cc and a web programmer (which I find MUCH easier to use). I really thought I wanted the original. The more I read about the two entities in "Split," the more I put them both behind me. The MEGA 2560 R3 I got from Elegoo seems to work just as well as anything I've read about what I call the original MEGA 2560 R3. Just a note for those reading this: I work direct if you're interested. I found LEDs from 3 to 42 volts on ebay. Even the damping works via the PWM ports. They come with pins and are about $4 for 20 LEDs (no resistors needed) ($13 per hundred) (haven't tried any of the colored LEDs, only white ones but they worked great)

Pros
  • Nice design
Cons
  • Minor blemishes
