1. Don't underestimate the importance of a thermostat on your heater. I'm Mr. The Fan Heater is both a big buddy and a little buddy, but you'll need to be around to turn it off when it gets too hot. Having a thermostat is great and saves fuel because it turns off when it gets warm enough. No matter where the thermostat is located, there's a very nice feature: as you get closer to the cut-off temperature, the flame goes down by about half, so I assume it goes from 20,000 to 10,000 BTUs, saving fuel. I don't like the range of the thermostat. I have never used it over 1 and have never heated a 36ft trailer in 30 degree weather. While it may not be recommended, you can set the thermostat between pilot and number one and get a range that still works in the 55-60.2 temperature range. Trust what other people have to say about the 90 degree adapter that comes with the kit. I thought they just didn't know how to thread properly, but I do. I twisted it gently, barely tightening it with my fingers, and tried to unscrew it, but it wouldn't budge. Let me tell you, don't even try. After all, I didn't need it anyway.3. It has a nice window to view the beautiful blue flames. The job of this type of heater is to heat the air, and it works well except that the heat and air goes straight up. Anyone expecting to sit in front of it and feel the pleasant warmth will be disappointed. You will feel the cold air on the floor returning to the heater, warming up and rising. If you want a radiant, direct feeling of warmth that penetrates your clothes and feels good, you need a heater like mr. buddy.5. Pay attention to dimensions. From the photos I got the impression that the device was much smaller.6. I don't notice the bad smell of propane gas. I'm sure there are, but that doesn't bother me. I feel good when I'm 100% efficient compared to a vented stove like the one in the trailer where so much heat escapes through the side vent. Unlike most people, I'm not at all concerned about leaving it on while I sleep. Keep in mind that these devices only produce water and carbon dioxide, which you exhale from your lungs. If there is no problem with incomplete combustion, there is no carbon monoxide, a toxic gas. I also feel like I can trust the oxygen sensor to shut the device down before the lack of oxygen shuts me down. Again, I think I'm probably unique here. To collect water on the windows I use a sponge and a mop and then I roll the sponge and let the water run down the drain. I had this lame brainstorming idea that I would use the shop vac to vacuum up moisture and yes it worked, but the sponge and squeegee method is a lot easier. Pet are allowed. When using Buddy's radiant heater I had to worry about her fur coming in contact with a hot surface and I lit the stories BUT this heater actually cools everything around me because all the heat goes straight up, around to heat the room.
