I have some experience with electronics but with a good video and attention to detail most people could do this repair. The main thing to watch out for is making sure the right screws go back in the right places, watch them go in. Photograph or number screws. There are 4 or 5 different types of screws that you will pull out. When you get to the control panel, the order in which they return is important. Wii works like new again. This drive came with rubber bumpers that four screws go through, but no tools or instructions were provided. My Wii is one of the first versions released in 2006. that does not work. must be exchanged again. not ideal, i guess it wasn't built to last.
