The website description claims this timer is good for people with hearing impairments and the bubble wrap says 'Perfect for the visually and hearing impaired'. Well, that's not really the whole truth. I, like several million other old fools around the world, have high frequency hearing loss. Even with my pair of high-tech $4,400 hearing aids, the high-pitched "dee-dee-dee" tone of this timer and many others is inaudible to me unless there is complete silence and I'm located within 5 feet of the timer. . The ONLY reason I'm not returning this timer is that it also includes a vibrate and clip mode. I did a test by clipping it to the waistband of my pants and pressing it firmly against my stomach and I could easily detect the vibration after the programmed time was up. My main reason for needing a personal timer is when I'm busy with various projects inside and outside the home, including things like working with a LOUD chainsaw or other power tools while wearing hearing protection headphones. I've tried using old fashioned mechanical kitchen timers which have a nice loud ringer but don't vibrate, are bulky, the ringer only lasts a few seconds and the max time that can be set is an hour. . So I think this TI150 would probably be the best overall solution for my purposes, although not ideal. Definitely how much is ideal in life. I'm just talking
