Review on Reboot CUT50DL Frequency Inverter Aluminum by Ans Brownlee

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent value for money

I bought this machine because I was tired of borrowing my dad's plasma cutter every time I needed to do something. He has an older model car, but he bought it about 10 years ago and paid about $1,500 for it. I always didn't want to buy it because no matter how many times I used it I didn't think it would be a good investment and then I stumbled across it on Amazon. Was amazed at how cheap the car was. I thought it would be a good deal under 300.00 so I bought it. It's really cheaper than my father's car. The handle is much lighter and feels like there is more plastic in it. The actual device is smaller and less complex but that's to be expected, I think this model is 10 years newer and a lot cheaper. When I first tried to use it, there were a lot of leaks in the air ducts. It took a lot of adjusting and tightening to fix all the leaks, but it ended up taking me maybe an hour. As far as how it works, man, this thing cuts well! Cuts better than my dad's 1500.00 machine. I cut several 6" 3/8" pipes without much difficulty. Easily cut a piece of 1/4 sheet steel. Compared to the others, this machine produces less slag and the slope is also smaller. The cutting speed was also higher with this machine. Maybe I'm comparing apples to oranges, but for the money this car is cool. I've had it for a month now and I've used it about 4 times (probably more than usual just for testing). Has worked every time with no problems. Not sure about durability but if you take care of it then everything will be fine. If I had 2 years if at this price I would definitely buy another one.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options
