Look for a cat harness instead. It's so jerky you can't keep it locked. My cat scratches lazily; the collar has been removed. Other attempts to collar a cat have failed with equal success. A good harness won't choke your cat if it snags on something and will give you a place to hang your cat's driver's license and name tag. In addition, it remains activated. Oh and the color is not the same as the picture. The actual color is more of a reddish-purple than the blue-purple shown here. There are no issues with the color, it's just not what is shown at all. More of Barney's dinosaur purple, just darker.
