Turned a mediocre sofa into a stunning sofa

Couch makers seem to think people like to have one foot off the ground. I hate this. It's terrible. I don't care if it's "stylish" or "better proportioned" or "it will make the room look bigger". And sitting on an extra pillow or pillow looks silly and leaves you with no back support. Those legs are a godsend. Easy installation on my sofa. I literally just unscrewed the old 2" thick ones and screwed this one in. "But the new 5" models, what's the difference in 3 extra inches?" A world of difference, that's what. First time since "I bought a sofa a few years ago I can really sit on it and enjoy it. It feels like you're sitting in the right chair now and not on the floor. That's great! Pros: - Strong solid legs Wood not chipboard - lag screw is well secured When I rotated the sofa 2ft to sit it up it didn't bend or stretch - the dull dark color goes with almost anything - now I can clean under the sofa! Previously, a 2" gap ate up anything that came up underfoot. Now it's all easy to pull out by hand - Price is right, an order of magnitude cheaper than a new sofa, which might be even cheaper. Cons: Color is darker. than on the B pic. Mine was almost black - The paint is a bit runny and doesn't hold up well. As a result, there were one or two small chips 1/8" - 1/4" closer to the top. They're barely visible under the sofa, but something worth mentioning - I wish they had a slightly taller version. It's perfect for most people, but I wouldn't mind an extra inch or two. Why not. Despite a few minor quirks, they worked great overall and I would happily buy them again.
