
Oil flows through the heating circuits onto the pan. At the moment when the oil gets on the warming curl. at moderately high temperatures smoke is produced. It's not bad, but it actually makes the steak and juicy burger a stinky affair. I will continue to use this but I will only use it on the covered porch. The unit is fully planned and parts can be efficiently removed between uses for intensive cleaning. Each piece is non-stick and easy to clean! I was blown away by the fact that the cleaning was so natural, even after cooking steaks that usually leave splatters on my burner. For reasons unknown, I really enjoyed the electric grills. My better half also likes to cook with it, so we have several varieties. It is really incredible. It's really easy to work with and the temperature control works amazingly. It is very easy to clean and store. An electric grill is just so beneficial. Assuming you've never used it, I strongly encourage you to do so. These days we absolutely don't have to worry about wiping down our oven, which has always been a nuisance.
