So far so good. Cheap and in my opinion even better/more accurate than my JBJ Truetemp controller. I use for aquariums. I shrink the temperature sensor and put a rubber cap on the end to keep the sensor from direct exposure to water. Not sure if it made a difference for freshwater, but it was easy enough and it wouldn't hurt. I also like the alarm modes. Just have to see how long this thing lasts, but so far 5/5. EDIT: I've since bought the 2nd for a different tank. I shrink this one too, but just clamp the end with pliers instead of a cap. Worked exactly the same. I'm still very impressed with them. I use Zoom Med Mag clips to hold the sensors, the smallest clip they come with fits the sensor well after it's been heat shrunk. Air hose holders will probably work too. Time will tell how they hold up. EDIT 2: Both are still going strong. The first has been over 8 months. At least 5-6 on the second.
