Review on Enhanced BenQ EX3203R Monitor with FreeSync DisplayHDR - 31.5 Inch, 2560X1440P, Curved Design, HDMI Connectivity by Kerry Nigrelli

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great in everything

The monitor was packaged very well and arrived with no dead pixels or damage. It was a little tricky to set up since my last monitor had joystick-like controls, but once I figured out what all the buttons do, it became pretty easy after that. The advantages are as follows: 1. It has an ambient light sensor, so it gets dark at night and light when it's light. (I have a lamp next to it that doesn't make the screen bright) 2. At 2560 x 1440 it still looks just as good as it does on my 27 inch monitor.3. The stand has a hole near where the cables plug in, making it easy to hide all your cables.4. My Xbox One x can now run up to 120Hz on this little One.5 thanks to FreeSync 2. It has a USB-C port which, if you have one of the newer cards, can do it all in one cable: audio, video and data transfer to the two USB ports on the bottom of the monitor. (Also see Cons section) The cons are: 1. The Displayport to Mini DP to DP cable which most people I know don't use. (Wish it came with a regular DP or both.) Difficult to access the ports on the bottom of the monitor as the stand doesn't allow for height adjustment.3. The USB-C port only supports up to 120MHz lower data rates on the 2 USB ports on the bottom of the monitor and also only comes with a 3 inch USB-C to USB-C cable. So if you want to use this method, you need to buy a longer one if your computer is not close enough to the monitor.4. It does not come with a Vesa mount option, you need to purchase it separately. While the downsides aren't the end of the world, overall this is a great monitor in size and resolution, with new features like USB-C, Freesync 2, and this monitor works with G-Sync too. The thin bezel and 1800R curve make this monitor the best in its price range. Rather, you're planning to connect gaming systems (you'll either need speakers or a wired headset with a 3.5mm jack) or a computer, which is a monitor.
