Review on Faria Hull Depth Sounder Transducer by Max Rosengren

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Decent fish finder

Nice little fish finder, fits perfectly with existing Faria fish finders although it had to be mounted under a console using the fish finder mount as I didn't want to drill new holes in my fiberglass and didn't have the space. for an additional pressure gauge. I had to order the correct size mount for the gauge, then paint it the correct color to match my dash, figure out the mounting method, cut out a 2x4 piece, paint it grey, and then fluid attach it to the underside of mine Nailing dashboards to make the display bracket had a place to attach. Hang on the right side to avoid being kicked or kicked. The warning tone set to minimum depth is annoying, but serves a good purpose. Pretty easy to use with decent instructions, minimal features which is nice. Installing the other part, the converter, is a different situation. A bit tricky and time consuming but take your time, follow the instructions and do it right and everything works great. The transducer is a bit odd at times and sometimes gives incorrect readings I believe as it showed the minimum depth in feet in the middle of the lake and sounded the alarm but immediately recalibrated and set the correct depth. Well worth the time and money if you don't need a sophisticated fish finder.
