Faria Hull Depth Sounder Transducer Review

The product only worked for a few months now it just shows the wrong depth says t feet of water when you are at 15 feet.

I did a little research before buying a fish finder for my Nautique. I wanted something that matched the style and quality of the rest of my boat. This fish finder gets the job done and besides running the cables, it is very easy to install. I would recommend Faria to some less expensive brands. Quality matters.

Bought in July 2019 and worked normally until the end of the season, about 10 hours. I just took the boat on my first trip of the 2020 season and the gauge is flashing all the time, usually showing 0.0 and an alarm, and then sometimes wrong readings. Double checked that the onboard sensor is submerged in glycol and the transducer is sending a signal, which is confirmed by the AM knock signal, but the sensor still reads garbage. Top quality Faria transducers. My boat had all the necessary sensors but no sonar. I really wanted a water/air temp sensor but it is only available with a transom mounted transducer. This encased converter was easy to install. The instructions were sufficient; However, I still scoured YouTube as I like to watch how-to videos to make sure I don't make any mistakes. Nice little fish finder, fits perfectly with existing Faria fish finders although it had to be mounted under a console using the fish finder mount as I didn't want to drill new holes in my fiberglass and didn't have the space. for an additional pressure gauge. I had to order the correct size mount for the gauge, then paint it the correct color to match my dash, figure out the mounting method, cut out a 2x4 piece, paint it grey, and then fluid attach it to the underside of mine Nailing…
