Review on Universal Water Bottle Dispenser Gallon by Mark Greenwood

Love this concept - - I've been raising my water jugs for months, I should have bought one of these pumps a lot sooner! Agree with most of the positives in other reviews, I've never had a battery drain or pumps freezing or slowing down. I just plug it in every now and then. I've seen plenty of notes about accidental, unintentional spills, so I keep my pitcher in a plastic container to limit damage if that happens. That's never happened in the few months I've owned it, and the button is pretty stiff and concave, so I don't think you'll ever come across it and accidentally press it. Water never enters this area. I suspect these are competing sellers trying to advertise to discourage people from buying this pump instead of their own. Overall it's great, I'm glad I have it. I have some complaints. First, the foam rings they use to connect the pump to the jug need improvement. They wrinkle and shrink over time. What happens if both rings shrink or break? You have to come up with something yourself. They also often get stuck in the pump body, but due to their rigidity, you cannot put the pump down on the foam jug, you have to guide it carefully. how. half at the jug neck, half at the pump. If you make a mistake, the pump will not attach securely or will fail. Instead, there should be some kind of soft silicone. Next question, and this is a MUCH bigger problem. Silicone feeding tube floats on the water surface! If you lower the tube with only a small protrusion at the tip, it will not sink to the bottom of the jug and the pump will suck air. I have tried many different Bodges. Tie well-cleaned nuts or bolts all the way through, they're rusty and probably contaminated my water. I finally ended up running the tubing through a section of PVC tubing to weigh it down. This worked very well for me. But then again. This is a serious game-changing bug and should not be fixed by the end-user, especially at this price point!
