Review on Optimized Propane Natural Connector by Mr Heater by Eric Smithlin

I needed a way, Mr. Heater Big Buddy, to low pressure home piping. I had POL/QCC1 fittings (like the ones on a propane tank) and hooked them up to them with an adapter hose you can usually get which will allow you to hook up your big buddy to a 20lb (or larger) tank). However, this hose is connected to the internal regulator. Since my house line was a low pressure line, it didn't work (you can't have two regulators on one line). The Big Buddy has room for two tanks so I was about to remove one of the regulators. However, when I was about to do so, I found a quick turnoff. This fitting fits this quick connector, at least on my heater. They also sell this faucet at Menards for more than double the price. There is another quick attach that is commonly used on RVs (commonly available at Revain and RV stores). This faucet looks almost exactly like this one, but Mr. Heather's is slightly larger. I am in the process of replacing my POL/QCC1 fittings with RV size quick disconnects. I then disconnect the POL/QCC1 connector from the heater hose and replace it with one of the standard quick disconnects (to convert the non-standard Mr. Heater to an RV quick disconnect). I believe that POL/QCC1 connections should be reserved for high pressure fittings and quick disconnects should be used for low pressure fittings. The Buddy heater requires a one-way valve (so if you connect it via the regulators, there will be no gas coming out of the quick connector). I couldn't find a RV sized male fitting with a one way valve so instead of simply replacing the fitting with a standard sized fitting I made a hose adapter as above.
