The headgear shell mask offers better protection compared to earhook foldable masks as they offer a much tighter fit. Anyone who does not value bulletproof protection and is used to wearing loose cloth masks or masks with ear loops will not like these masks. These particular masks are great because they fit well and have strong woven elastic headbands. The headbands are quite short which makes for a very snug fit; but they are a little less comfortable than other shell masks I've worn. Overall, the mask is still quite comfortable. The mask itself is sturdy and very durable. Once you are used to this type of mask, it is easy to breathe through it. It is KN95 (Chinese spec), not N95 (American spec). They're supposed to be about equal when it comes to safety, but without the guarantee of a US certification, it all comes down to how much you trust Accumed. I feel they are a very respected supplier and these masks offer excellent protection and are great value for money.
