Review on HQMaster 3 175Mm Straight Milling Tungsten by David Everett

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very very good tailors.

These are the only bits I use. They serve very well out of all the bits I've bought. I only broke one. I mainly use them on soft pine but have used them on oak. and other hardwoods, but I ride them very hard at 100 ipm, 30 ipm and .0032 per pass. They hold their edge very well and I will be getting a production run of around 30 units per cutter. If I notice that the cutting edge is becoming a little fuzzy, I replace it. As for the person who complained that it wasn't down to 1/8th, you should have clearance on the sides of the cutter. It's not like this. Cutting or manufacturing errors are due to construction.

Pros
  • Straight
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks
