When I received these straws I already had a set of large diameter stainless steel straws and a set of curved stainless steel straws. In comparison, these straws are significantly narrower and made of lighter stainless steel. They're useful for drinking water, tea, and other clear liquids like sodas, but not for drinking smoothies or any kind of pulpy beverage. They just aren't wide enough. This set contains two slim straw brushes which are the best straw brushes I have ever used. If you don't need a straw that works well for drinking smoothies, orange juice pulp, or frozen smoothies, these straws generally do the trick. Otherwise, I recommend getting a larger diameter, all-purpose stainless steel straw instead.
