I am happy with the lens; it produces wonderful portraits and has quick and precise focus. I preferred the Zeiss 100/2 macro, but it is much more expensive and does not have autofocus, which is essential for many. Of course, you won't get a close-up of a fly's eye, but the MP-E65 lets you to take fully functional pictures at 1/25 (as long as the subject isn't a macro), and I don't think you'll regret it.:)
