I really like this tool and it has always been my go-to tool. I hang it right outside my garage door next to the kitchen. This is my favorite tool when I need the features of this tool. I bought mine at a pit stop while traveling for about three dollars. I have one for each of the boys in the family. But as the years went by and my lock couldn't take it, I decided to buy another one. I waited two years because I didn't want to pay for a replacement. But I finally did. The new one, to my shame, isn't much "better" than my old one - less notched and tucked away, but the new lock still doesn't hold the pincer in the closed position like its older pincer counterpart. Good. Not worth sending back and now I have two that will probably go in my coffin next to my old body.
