Review on Seagate Enterprise Capacity 3.5 Internal Hard Disk Drive - ST8000NM0075 8TB 7200 RPM SAS 12Gb/s 256MB Cache 512e: Efficient Storage Solution for Business by Deborah Hale

Just wanted to make sure you all know that this drive is really new, just out of production . They stopped producing these drives to make room for more capacity and new technologies. However, a few years ago I had a drive failure in a RAID 5 that was working continuously and of course I had to replace the drive. I found this one and it matched the bill perfectly and far less than the 300+ I paid when I originally bought it. If I were to upgrade now, I'd end up with a bunch of 8TB+ drives, but I still didn't want to spend another thousand on a 50% usage raid. I just had to get files from the raid that weren't available before. and now I can do that and the drive works as it should. If you need to replace a drive in a RAID, no problem, the drive is in good condition and working as it should. If you're starting out new I wouldn't recommend going down this route unless you're buying a few extras because THEY ARE NO LONGER MANUFACTURED. That being said, I would definitely recommend the seller and this disc.
