Review on IRWIN Tools Tinners 7 Inch 22007 by Bob Randles

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Durable, cuts well and lasts a very long time!

These are sturdy scissors! I had a pretty thick piece of PEI that I needed to cut, but I didn't have anything at home to cut it, so I took it to work knowing that one of the guys at the store would probably have something I needed could use. When I asked our parts manager, he walked over to one of the machines we have and pulled one out of the bottom of the tool box that was attached to the machine. It looked old and worn, it was a bit rusty. and a bit dirty. When I asked him how long he's had them he said "I don't know, they've been at the bottom of this box since I've been here" and he's been there for over 25 years. But what happened next was a real blow. He grabbed a thin rag and started cutting it into small pieces! I was stunned that these scissors no longer looked like they could cut anything. My next question was "Who did this?" It had a blue handle with the slightly faded yellow "IRWIN" name still clearly visible. I remember things that impress me and when I got home that night I was obsessed with seeing if they were still in stock. To my surprise, I found it right here at Revain and the price was right! To be honest these scissors are so sharp I had no problem cutting PEI, in fact they are so sharp they even cut paper (cleanly!). These are the highest quality scissors and I know the pair I bought will last long after I'm gone! FIVE STARS FOR EVERYTHING!

Pros
  • Flat blade (straight) scissors work best for straight cuts, but can handle gentle curves and cut through thicker materials than duck tip scissors.
Cons
  • The list will be long.
