I bought this jack to use in place of the bottle jack that came with my small SUV. I thought it would be more secure as it has a wide base and a lockable stand. Driving down Alligator Alley in Florida, I got an apartment. I lifted the SUV and followed the instructions. After changing the wheel, I released the latch and lowered the jack with the hydraulic latch. Oil leaked from under the jack, and the whole contraption got stuck in the locked position - with the car raised. Luckily I left the original bottle jack in the car and used it as a life saver to get the Unijack out from under the car. The return window is now closed and I'm stuck on this bullshit. Don't buy this. Buy a standard bottle jack instead. If you neglect this advice, test it out a few times in your driveway on the day of delivery. You don't want it failing on a remote road in 90 degree heat with your family in the car.
