so most of us buy this type of food as a last resort. The recent pandemic and related food shortages have given me the opportunity to sample many of my freeze dried products. This bucket contained a packet of food that was very hard. I've eaten TONS of freeze dried meals - they're NEVER hard, they're always light, crunchy and easy to rehydrate. Never, never will they be solid, hardened bricks. It cannot be that this food was sealed properly. And there's no way I'm going to eat it, because if it's that hard, it must have been exposed to water or worse. It's just not safe. As I bought this a long time ago for an emergency, at the time the pandemic broke out it was LONG past the return date. I don't know what went wrong until you actually have an emergency. To be clear I've had freeze dried products from 5-6 different companies and NEVER had this problem so it's not my fault - they sell bad food.
