I bought this for my wife's bike as it has a stepped design and the bottle cage tabs are in an awkward position. What I love about it: 1. It's Topeak, so the brand I trust did the due diligence.2. He is flexible. You can rotate the head to fit a handlebar or stem, and you can rotate the bottle cage any way you like.3. After installation it looks good. Problems: 1. The installation was not very intuitive. It comes with instructions but you need to take it apart to install.2. I didn't cut off the excess material like the instructions suggested. Didn't think I'd need it, but I would like the metal strap that wraps around the handlebars (or stem, whichever you prefer) to be rubberized. It would look more finished and protect the bike's finish. There's a piece of rubber that acts as a wrap of sorts around the strap, but doesn't provide full coverage. I cut off the old replacement tube to wrap it around the handlebars first and not scratch it when the bracket comes loose and rotates on the handlebars.3. Since it's a large mount, once you've placed a cage on it and filled a bottle, you'll have quite a long lever to pull. In other words, I have to tighten the mount more than I originally thought was necessary to make it stable. Otherwise, grabbing the bottle while riding may cause the handlebar mount to detach. Overall I think this is a good mount for everyday use. I wouldn't necessarily use this for mountain biking or other extreme riding, but for neighborhoods and easy trails or trails, I think it would be just what we wanted.
