There are better designs.

I bought this to put a bottle cage on the handlebar. Like most Topeak stuff, it's well made. However, it was too big for my handlebars and too small for my down tube. Another significant limitation, especially when using the steering wheel, is that it only rotates in 90-degree increments. For a better design that I use in two different setups see the original "Minoura Strap-On Bottle Bottle" https://www.amazon.com/Minoura-94414-Strap-On-Bottle-Boss/dp/B001CJZ9HW/ ref…

Great little cage mount for bikes that might not have room for a cage

We have a small city e-bike that doesn't have room for a bottle cage. We've tried a few other solutions with very little luck, but this works great so far. The tape holding it to the frame is thin enough to route under the rear brake cables, and the ability to reorient the frame mount meant more freedom of placement. Nice little device. The only downside for me is that initially it wasn't clear how to even open the tape to install it - you have to remove the piece that attaches to the cage and…

Stability for 2 years!

This bottle cage mount has been on my mountain bike for 2 years now. This is solid rock! My bike did not come with factory mounting points (eyelets) and space for the bottle cage is very limited. I looked at the many options available but they all looked flimsy. I needed something suitable for off-road riding, and most options are plastic or rely on velcro straps. You wouldn't be able to handle a heavy water bottle and the vibrations of off-road driving. I've been impressed with everything I've

Smart design best for cycling

This was necessary because my new frame bag swallowed my entire inner triangle. Really smart design and very easy to install (YouTube has a video on how to install it on an elliptical, I think it will help if you disagree). It's securely fastened, but the choice of bottle cage matters. This old-school cage (pictured) gradually collapsed during my ride as the weight of the bottle flexed it backwards (however, the bottle was never lost and was never flexed enough to interfere with the wheel). It…

Adjustable but not enough adjustable

I bought 2 of these, one for my bike and one for my daughter. Our bikes don't have pre-drilled holes for bottle cages so I figured that would solve the problem. It didn't work at all. There are holes in the stainless steel clamp, but they are so far apart that it doesn't fit perfectly anywhere on our bike: not on the seat post, not on the handlebars, not on the stem, not on the frame. The clamp is too small to even go around the main frame and too loose on the seatpost or anywhere on the…

Poor device that the average user can't install

This is a terrible device. And I'm very good at mechanical devices. I didn't realize how bad it was until I installed it. Looks stylish. But it relies on plastic parts that make it beautiful but not durable. The worst thing about this product is the installation. You might think this should be easy. It is not ! To install the device on a normal-sized steering wheel, I had to completely disassemble it, and that's not an easy task. A coiled metal band, secured at one end with a tiny…

Sturdy little bracket.

I saw coconut drink holders at Revain and remembered carving a coconut out of monkeys that I got from Disney World when we were doing a luau one day. I paid a fortune for this fruit drink, lugged this coconut back to my hotel room, sort of stuffed it in my suitcase with all the other stuff I bought, so I put it in the back of the closet and kept it forever! Glad I did! I had a cute little coconut that traveled halfway across the country to live with me, now all I had to do was figure out how to

Serves its purpose but isn't the easiest of setups

I bought this for my wife's bike as it has a stepped design and the bottle cage tabs are in an awkward position. What I love about it: 1. It's Topeak, so the brand I trust did the due diligence.2. He is flexible. You can rotate the head to fit a handlebar or stem, and you can rotate the bottle cage any way you like.3. After installation it looks good. Problems: 1. The installation was not very intuitive. It comes with instructions but you need to take it apart to install.2. I didn't cut off the
