After reading the other reviews I have to say that they did a great job of explaining the pros and cons to explain this board. I bought this because I like acacia cutting boards and I already had 2 smaller boards from another source and wanted them to match. This size is really good. Yes, the box is beautiful. Yes, it comes with a knife as shown in the picture. But I don't care about these things. It's all on the board. As soon as it arrived I unpacked it and let it acclimate for a couple of days. I then applied a food grade mineral oil and left it on for 24 hours (raised to let air through). It's been a few days and I haven't used the board yet as I plan to add mineral oil tomorrow (and another issue detailed below). You can immediately see how much better the mineral oil plate looks, even the colour! I took off a star because the legs weren't attached yet. As a disabled person with limited use of the dominant arm, this is EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING! Please save future customers this frustration and simply screw the legs to the side of the "shell" before shipping. In fact, this is a big deal. I need to find someone to come fix it for me.
