I've sought the opinions of others in my home and we all agree. It is very loud. It's dirty. And it's great for fast work. We have improved the taste of the coffee by being able to choose the beans we choose. We place the filter in our Technoform, moisten it and collect the grist directly in the filter. That's good and certainly better than snagging on something and then throwing it in the filter, but even so, the abrasion is everywhere. If anyone has any thoughts I would definitely appreciate it. I can handle the noise, but the clutter bothers me. It's easy to use, love the funnel and it's fast, but most importantly my coffee tastes great. yes it is expensive
