I bought two of these for my young children. At first they struggled to control it as they never had a stand and it requires a bit of muscle but more technique. After a little practice they got it right and no longer wear out handlebars and seats when putting bikes on the ground. You can buy this footrest without hesitation. It was easy to install and appears to be well made. Another point to consider. When you fold the footrest, it folds towards the back of the bike. This means it goes almost all the way to the back and therefore doesn't look as pretty as a regular footrest which is relatively hidden by the frame.
