Review on πŸ‘Ÿ Optimized for SEO: Mizuno Women's Wave Prophecy 7 Running Shoe by Nancy Meyer

Very disappointed with Mizuno

It took me a while to write this review after purchasing it and I'll explain why below. But first. I've been wearing the Wave Prophecy line since I was 2 years old. I'm a nurse and I'm always on my feet and I work 16 hrs straight and also run/exercise 4/7 days a week. Shoes of this particular brand and style have been the only shoes I have purchased in the last 6 years or so and so far I have been happy with the fit, durability and comfort of these shoes. I was torn between buying a 7s or 8s and chose 7s because 1) I liked the teal they brought back (my favorite was the Florida Blue 5s) and 2) they were about $100 cheaper than the 8s. Needless to say, I'm glad I didn't spend an extra $100 on the 8's because these shoes have gone from saving my soles to completely destroying the sole. I thought the first month was going to be the hardest because I had to wear them on my foot (like any shoe) but oh my god it's been May and these things still don't give me any wiggle room. The sides rub the bony part of my big toe where it meets my foot, as well as the same bony patch on my pinky toe (it's like total foot kill), and I'm only lucky if I can stick it out, maybe. 6 hours without shoes. before it starts and after that i keep suffering until i can bear a whole day without them. I don't have wide feet. If I did, and it was a problem, I wouldn't be able to wear any of the previous versions as this version is significantly wider than the others. wtf did you do mizuno? Added additional torture device. In those shoes to try and get people to run faster to avoid injury? In addition, the material and quality are significantly inferior to the previous versions. Of course, they have a lot more bright shiny details, but the mesh that's supposed to let my feet breathe is a joke. I've never had a problem with my feet sweating too much or suffocating in previous versions, but in these I had serious problems with my feet in the dressing room and that's not at all flattering. Finally, I noticed the insoles. is not as convenient as it used to be. I never had to think, "I should add extra padding to my Mizunos." In fact, I wore some of them to the ground so much that my thumb almost completely rubbed a hole in the padding, and then I finally took it upon myself to buy a new pair (even the mesh fabric on the outside I was by now). had a few punctures and my pinky slipped out of the shoe lol). So here I am, stuck with a $150 pair of shoes that 1) give me severe foot pain for the first 6 hours of wearing them 2) make me sweat profusely and have smelly feet in the dressing room 3) the too Padding lacks comfort the soles are tolerable. Now that I've worn them for so long, I can say they *finally* (and I used the word loose) don't hurt *that much* anymore. I can't return them because as a nurse the things I've walked on in these shoes, even with sanitizer, still make me nervous about sending them back and I also ended up through the return window hoping they'd just will be wearing. within a month. All in all, I suggest if you're a former Mizuno Wave Prophecy lover, just ditch it and move on. I've also seen reviews of the 8s and they don't give me any hope that the 7s was just a bad batch and year. I'll look for a new pair of shoes to replace as soon as I've at least earned my money wearing them (or until I can't take the pain anymore). But do yourself a favor and stay away. It's not worth that much money. Basically, you would buy a pair of $150 Nike high tops only to find out that they are less well made than the NOBO high tops sold at Walmart.
