Review on πŸ—„οΈ Seville Classics Iron Slat Expandable Kitchen Counter and Cabinet Shelf: Enhanced Storage Solution in Platinum by Kevin Duhon

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Deformed and legless but strong and stylish

This corner shelf/dish organizer is well made (I think) except the one I received didn't sit flat. So many reviews mention how good this shelf is, so I'm guessing mine is a "loser". In the first picture you can see that the tilt to the base was about 1/8 inch so the shelf would tip over every time I put something on it. Product photos on Revain show rubber or plastic feet on the base. I didn't have anything. I've added a picture of the base so you can see that there are 3 small holes on the bottom for the legs to fit. However, there were small round grommets on the front diagonal part, no holes, so I have no idea how the legs would attach if there were any. I almost sent it back but didn't want to go through the hassle and risk getting another defective one. So instead I "fixed" it by cutting a small strip of styrofoam and placing it under the bottom edge to line it up. (The foam came from a dollar store shoe insert.) You can see how it looks in the last picture. The solution isn't perfect and I'm a bit frustrated that the quality control was so poor. I mean I had a lot of options and decided on these over the cheaper white coated metal frames thinking I was getting a higher quality item. It's durable and looks good except for the foam. :/
