This toy arrived this afternoon. My two year old cat, who needs more amusement and exercise than she gets, quickly figured out how to rip off the swirling feather attachment on top and then immediately fished out the feathers inside with one paw and ate them. Not good. This toy might be ok for a small kitten but it is not durable and strong enough for an adult cat. It needs to be about 3 times larger/heavier and much tougher to rip apart. The concept is clever, though.

I like that it uses standard AA batteries, I can use my rechargeable. This is a very attention needy kitty, he can play for hours on end. I normally play with the feathers on a fishing pole kitty toy, it's nice to now take a break and let him play with this toy. This is the first toy he could play with for 4 hours straight. I tend to just use this for an hour at time or this will be his new best friend lol 😆

This toy is easy to assemble, was up and running in less than one minute. As soon as I set it up, both of my cats became mesmerized with it- they even forgot that we had just put food in their dish! I don’t know how long this will last but for now this is their favorite toy!

The metal clasp that is supposed to hold the feather on was not included with mine so the feather is just tied to the spin hook. I missed the fact this toy has no auto shut-off and all my other electronic toys have one. It is over-priced at $26.99 but I used a 25% coupon so that made it some better. The batteries that are provided did not last past one evening, perhaps my fault since I did not cut it off for 45 minutes. We bought this for our new kitten. He loves this even when it is not on. Its great when he wants to play but we dont have time due to school work. It leeps hom busy.

I thought my cat would play with this, and she did a little at first, but mostly she watches intently, which is ok too. I think she finds the loud clicking it makes a little intimidating.

My two month old kitten loved it, loved it so much that after having it for 4 days I leave her for 15 minutes and come back and she broke the top feather piece off - like the actual feather hanging on the black string was ripped off, the plastic chewed to pieces I had to pull out her mouth, great while it lasted but a waste of money to last so little time. The product surprises me for its variances. I can attache the stick on top so the kitten can chase the toy that is flying in the air, or just turn on the toy so the kitten will chase the bottom feather. It comes with a plastic ball that has a bell and I can put the ball into the holes to have another variance.

Battery life is horrible! It ran a total of 45 minutes and needed new ones. Ball pops out on it's own even on slow mode. The cats don't have a chance to chase it around the base themselves, which is part of the point. Returned.
