Review on Escali 2210IB ArtiXL Glass Digital LCD Kitchen Scale, Extra-Large with Liquid and Dry Ingredient Measurement, Tare Function, 22lb Capacity, Black by Charlie Powell

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I love this thing so far.

This is the third digital scale I have recently purchased and the only one that appears to be accurate. It arrived last night so I immediately made buns to try it out. The recipe lists volume and weight. I put the bowl on the scale and weighed it. First I measured the flour and then added it to the bowl and it turned out to be the same weight. I did the same with all the dry ingredients including adding salt and yeast without using the tare function as there were very few of them. I then repeated the process of measuring the liquid ingredients in the Pyrex beaker with the same perfect results. Once the dough was ready to be divided into buns, I measured the total, divided by 12 (the number of buns I made), then weighed each bun to the exact amount and it worked! This was not possible with other scales. The soft-touch controls were very responsive. A quick, light press of the power button even turns it off without waiting a few seconds. Well, after just one session it worked and I love it! I have a shortcoming. I wanted to order it in red, but of course it only comes in black.
