Review on 🚪 Dynasty Hardware Privacy Pocket Door Latch in Aged Oil Rubbed Bronze, Perfect for Bedrooms and Bathrooms by Aaron Franklin

I have installed many locks but none for the pocket door (I only installed the handles). The description doesn't show (unless I overlooked it) that the latch pulls as well. It can be inserted into the mechanism and released by pressing again. It's quite small and might not be big enough for a heavy door (mine was a solid 24″). The locking mechanism is quite strict - the bolt hitting the firing pin is pulled out (for lack of a better word) into the firing pin. the strike plate that encloses it. Trying to latch the door when it's already closed is tricky - the solution I've found is to extend the latch mechanism before closing the door and then insert it into the strike plate - works every time. Locking and unlocking the door is pretty small for my thumbs, but I can lock and unlock it. It's a relatively cheap device, but it works.
