I have only used the product for a short time but it seems to be well made with parts that fit together well. The locking mechanism has a little drag, which I appreciate, but some might want to slide easily. I put a star because the instructions are very easy and I had to guess a few things.

I have several sliding doors in my house. I hate traditional door fittings that are small and insecure. These Dynasty pocket door hardware use the traditional hole cut for a standard door knob, and the latch and mechanisms are enlarged to make it easier for your hands to operate. The locking mechanism is much stronger and I prefer solid wood doors to install a pocket door. These Dynasty door mechanisms make the door more secure and private.

I'm a locksmith so my installation experience may be a bit biased. This pocket door lock was pretty easy for me to install. I have installed many locks but none for the pocket door (I only installed the handles). The description doesn't show (unless I overlooked it) that the latch pulls as well. It can be inserted into the mechanism and released by pressing again. It's quite small and might not be big enough for a heavy door (mine was a solid 24″). Summary: In general this is a reliable, beautiful and functional product. Looks pretty good and goes well with other oiled bronzes in our house. There is a downside in that it was quite tight or "catchy" when trying to pick the lock. The functionality rating I give below relates to this anomaly as the knob is difficult to turn. Pretty hard.
