Review on 🔌 SecurOMax 1.5 Feet HDMI Cable (2 Pack) - 4K 60Hz, 18Gbps, Braided Cord by Aaron Leburu

Attention - constant quality problems (failures immediately after installation, as well as quality deterioration over time)

I bought a couple of these to try and clean up the audio/video routing. I have a fairly complex setup with 5 different HD video sources and a splitter sending video to a monitor and projector. I ordered a couple of these shorter 1.5" cables to get rid of the snakes' nest behind the receiver, as the cables that come with most products are longer, assuming you need to reach the TV from a few feet away. one of them collapsed. I'm fairly tech savvy and adept at HDCP, various HDMI generations etc, but I'm surprised at how consistently they've died over time - alongside the obvious quality control issues that led to some of them, there must be some manufacturing issues . does not work right out of the box. Be careful - I believe these cheap cables are sold under multiple brand names as I ordered a set under a different brand name and they looked identical to this one. Stick to well known brands and pay money for something decent so you don't get embarrassed when you show someone your awesome media rig and it stops intermittently or has a digital break due to poor quality cables!

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
