Review on Banks 51313 Monster Exhaust System: Unleash Your Vehicle's Power by Adam Roman

I'm happy with the sound and the extra power. I don't like rust. I installed this a year ago and the yokes (not stainless steel) became so badly rusted that even with a flashlight the bolts broke. And the rest of the exhaust is rusty. I don't expect it to fail quickly, but it's cheaper stainless steel. I'll paint it eventually, but I'd like to know in advance. My recommendation would be to paint with a good high temp paint and of course remove the factory oil finish and prime it properly. Also, I would recommend getting quality stainless steel clamps. A few more notes. The wide tip they gave me is too close to my Smittybilt XRC rear bumper. I adjusted it as best I could, but you should consider this if you have a large rear bumper. Also, when adjusting, be careful not to get too close to the right rear shock if you have plastic or rubber Rubicon caps. It can be adjusted since it's assembled, but just so it doesn't melt anything. Something else. If you buy from Revain or a seller who is not an "Authorized Seller" you will not get a guarantee from the banks. I hope this review helps you with your plan. Good luck building your jeep.
