Perfect 18 inch stool, just what I wanted and hoped for. From the comments some have posted it appears that the stool will likely have straighter legs than shown in the product image rather than slanted or apart as shown in the image. The legs of the stool are really straight and it suits my needs perfectly. It fits in my office just behind my desk where I use it to support a wire drawer with files I need to access regularly. The stool is the perfect size for my wire box. The height is perfect and the footprint of the stool is minimal due to the straight legs. Spread, bent legs wouldn't work in this case. And the wood is beautiful, hard, pale and smooth, with no nicks and unpolished splinters. Pretty and pleasant to the touch. Better not to buy stools for my purposes. Would recommend this to anyone not looking for a chair that can support too much weight.
