The taillights are 2 red lenses (front and side) with an LED module in them. If you loosen the 4 front screws, you will see the LED module. what is inside The black plastic exterior isn't weatherproof, but the interior appears to be better sealed. I couldn't tell if there was a seal between the clear lens and the black plastic on the LED module so I used a clear two part seal and applied a roller. around that lip to make sure it's sealed. The wires coming out of the back of the case were already sealed with sealant. This is the right way to do it. In general I am satisfied with them. The wire colors match my trailer wiring. They feel like they will break if dropped. Untenable. If you ever stick them in anything again, they will be completely destroyed.
