If you want to leave your coffee in for a while before drinking it might be best to leave the cup in the fridge or maybe lower the temperature. on top of the freezer so your coffee cools more slowly and doesn't turn into ice, but personally I love love LOVE that I can get a good cold coffee so quickly after putting it in. For a long time I even thought that ice slushy coffee was actually very tasty. If you have a long spoon you can also make your own homemade ice cream. So it's really versatile. Haven't tried using it as a hot drink glass but I think if you don't freeze it you can probably use it to keep hot drinks hot? I love it. It's definitely heavier than most glasses and only holds about 11 ounces of coffee at a time. That's the ideal amount for me, but ymmv.
