We have used this Folding Snow & Ice Windshield Cover many times, once for about 6 inches of snow, it handled it very well. My husband used it on his Toyota Tacoma. It attaches all 4 hooks to the wheel arches 2 front 2 rear. It covers the entire window and about half of the side windows. We live in a windy area and winds stay around 40-50mph. He likes that better than the ones that close in car doors. For this reason, it could also be stolen quite easily. If I were to use this foldable snow and ice windshield cover for my car, I'm not sure where I would venture to put the hooks. Because our car is newer than our Tacoma and I'm worried about damaging something. I do however recommend this snow and ice windshield cover as we have used several over the years and this is the best design I have used.
