If you have a tropical terrarium or even just a reptile that likes to dig like my Uromastic I would highly recommend this one. I will use it for my leopard gecko nests and mix it with sand for my uro. It is a soft, earth-like fiber and is very easy to scrape off. It holds moisture well in most cases. If you want it to retain more moisture, you need to cover it with a layer of peat moss or forest moss and spray it daily. I also use this for a salamander and she loves digging in it. It's lightweight and works great even when dry to create a fake bioactive background.
